My sons and daughters,

I’m pleased to join you at today’s jam’a, honoring QF Alumni here at Education City. This place was designed to promote excellence, to be a unique hub for creativity and innovation and a place of possibility and opportunity for everyone, based on their own merit and talent.

We are overjoyed that more than 10,000 graduates, including you, have turned possibility into reality. You have demonstrated your ability, tenacity and determination. Our graduates come from diverse backgrounds, from east and west, and carry with them the legacy of Qatar Foundation, spreading our values: creating, sharing and advancing knowledge.

What I have heard from you today represents the values and legacy of Qatar Foundation. The voices may differ, but the message stays the same. It brings me comfort that our legacy will live on – that you will continue to effect change by empowering others and ushering them into this place of possibility. Share your experiences as much as you can, because now, it is you who represent this place of possibility for others. Wherever you are, you are an ambassador of Qatar Foundation.

I am proud of the launch of the Alumni Network Portal, which will boost and broaden Qatar Foundation ties, and I urge you to be active on this platform, sharing ideas, debating concepts and fulfilling Qatar Foundation’s legacy.

Your gathering here today represents the happiest of returns on our investment in you and your studies. Your achievements are dreams turned into reality.
