Their Highnesses attend Diamond Jubilee Celebration of Queen Elizabeth II

His Highness the Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani and Her Highness Sheikha Moza bint Nasser attended the Sovereign Monarchs' lunch hosted by Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom at Windsor Castle today.

The lunch was held to commemorate the occasion of the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II, marking the 60th anniversary of her accession to the throne.

His Highness the Emir and Her Highness Sheikha Moza were welcomed upon arrival at Windsor Castle by Queen Elizabeth II and HRH Prince Phillip, Duke of Edinburgh. Their Highnesses congratulated the Queen on her Jubilee, wishing her best of health and continued good relations between the two countries.

The function was one of the largest gatherings of crowned heads of state in the UK since Queen Elizabeth's Coronation in 1953.  All senior members of the British Royal Family were present.
