HH Sheikha Moza inaugurates forum of Universal Declaration of Human Dignity

Her Highness Sheikha Moza Bint Nasser, Chairperson of Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development, inaugurated on Monday morning the regional forum organised by the National Human Rights Committee (NHRC) to discuss the draft document of the Universal Declaration of Human Dignity at the Four Seasons Hotel in Doha.

This forum is one of several regional forums held in South America and Europe upon initiative by the Government of Switzerland in coordination with former United Nations Secretary General Kofi Annan. It is worth mentioning that this forum is being held for the first time in an Arab country and particularly in Qatar as a result of the NHRC’s belief in the need for civic society organisations in the Arab region to participate in any international initiative aiming at protecting human dignity.
