HH Sheikha Moza attends the Qatar National Research Strategy Forum

Her Highness Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, Chairperson of Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development (QF), today took part in Qatar's National Research Strategy Forum which was held at Education City.

The forum - the first of its kind - was attended by those in charge of research institutes affiliated to QF as well as senior representatives of a number of other governmental organs and institutions concerned with the scientific research in the country.  The participants discussed the road map of the National Research Strategy and how best to apply the strategy in order to meet the country's goals.

The National Research Strategy is an umbrella strategy aimed at aligning all projects and research visions in Qatar - from universities , scientific research centers , governmental organs and the business and energy sector - and linking them directly to Qatar National Vision 2030. This will help further Qatar's aim to move from a carbon-based economy to a knowledge-based economy.
