Her Highness Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, Chairperson of Education Above All (EAA), toured the Assalam Schools in Doha today, observing first-hand the achievements of their students. The First and Second Assalam Schools were established in 2017 through the Together Project within the Education Above All Foundation.

Her Highness visited a number of classrooms and observed ongoing classroom activities. She then stopped by the school’s library where students shared their artworks and projects with her.

The Together Project, in partnership with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education and a number of local partners, established the Assalam Schools to provide access to education and vocational training to children and youth facing financial barriers and age or educational gaps. By addressing the issues facing out-of-school children and youth, the Assalam schools aim to overcome the obstacles that impede marginalized children in Qatar from accessing or completing formal education. Currently there are five Assalam Schools in Qatar, providing quality education to 1,929 beneficiaries.
