Her Highness opens the Exhibition Bagdad: Eye’s Delight at MIA

Her Highness, Moza bint Nasser, Chairperson of Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development attended tonight the opening of the latest exhibition at the newly reopened Museum of Islamic Art entitled “Bagdad: Eye’s Delight.

Her Excellency, Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad Al-Thani, Chairperson of Qatar Museums was also in attendance.

Under the umbrella of the Qatar Creates 2022 activations as well as the Qatar-MENASA 2022 Year of Culture, the exhibition celebrates Baghdad’s outstanding heritage and highlight’s Iraq’s capital as a political, economic, and intellectual hub during a period that was one of the most innovative in world history. The Exhibition hosts a large number of exceptional items on loan from museums and international auction houses including the Louvre, the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Vatican.
