HH Sheikha Moza visits Saudi expo in Istanbul

Her Highness Sheikha Moza bint Nasser visited an exhibition entitled ‘The Edge of Arabia,’ held as part of Istanbul 2010 European Capital of Culture.

During the tour, Her Highness was briefed on a number of models and portraits depicting the culture of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in addition to a number of photographs reflecting the Saudi heritage and works highlighting the local identity and the environment of the kingdom.

Some 22 Saudi artists contributed to ‘The Edge of Arabia’ exhibition in an innovative move displaying the relatively obscure contemporary art and culture of Saudi Arabia to the international public and an initiative aimed to support and enable contemporary artists to form a new generation of trans-border innovative works.
