HH Sheikha Moza visits Qatar Scientific Club

Her Highness Sheikha Moza bint Nasser today visited the Qatar Scientific Club. She was welcomed upon arrival by Board Chairman HE Sheikh Ahmed bin Khalid Al Thani, and a number of Board members. She was then briefed on the achievements of the club, its scientific projects and the innovations made by Qatari youth during the history of the Club.

Her Highness visited the Club’s Department of Mechanical Engineering Science, Wireless Aviation Amateurs Centre, Electronics and Computer Unit, Media Centre and the Department of Astronomy and Multiple Innovations Gallery. She described the Club as “one of the first institutions that sponsored the spirit of innovation in Qatar”.

After speaking with young people at the Club, Her Highness said: "The Club’s scientific level renews our hope in ourselves and encourages us to achieve even more innovation”.

HE Sheikh Ahmed bin Khalid welcomed Her Highness’s unwavering support of scientific and educational activities in the Qatar: "Her Highness’s visit has given the Qatar Scientific Club a great moral boost and shown us all Sheikha Moza’s deep interest in science and innovation”.
