HH Sheikha Moza Visits Education And Employment Projects In North Kordofan, Sudan

North Kordofan State, Sudan, March 13, 2017　– Her Highnesss Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, Advocate for the UN Sustainable Development Goals, arrived today in El Obied City in North Kordofan. Her Highness was welcomed by His Excellency Mr. Ahmed Haroon, the governor of North Kordofan and a number of ministers.

Her Highness attended a ceremony in the "Freedom Stadium" hosted by the people of El Obied to mark her visit. Theceremonyconsisted of Sudanese and Qatari dances performed by school students. Mr. Haroon gave a speech in which he thanked Her Highness for her support for the development of Sudan. Her Highness thanked the people of El Obied for the ceremony and renewed her pledge to support the people of Sudan through education and employment.

Her Highness then visited the　Alternative Learning Programme (ALP) supported by the Education Above All Foundation’s programme, Educate A Child (EAC). Her Highness spoke with students, teachers and staff.Through its respective partnerships in Sudan, EAC aims to enrol more than 622,000 out of school children by the end of 2018.

Her Highness also visited an exhibition dedicated to beneficiaries of the Silatech foundation. It highlighted the projects of those prople benefiting from the current partnership between Silatech and the Agricultural Bank of Sudan.
