HH Sheikha Moza meets with Lebanese Parliament Member Bahia Hariri

Her Highness Sheikha Moza bint Nasser met with Labanese Parliment Member Bahia Hariri, who is also the president of the Hariri Foundation for Sustainable Human Development (HF). A documentary film detailing the foundation’s history, activities, objectives and achievements since its establishment 30 years ago was screened at the outset of the meeting which was held at the Foundation headquarters in Beirut.

The meeting dealt with a number of issues of mutual interest.

Bahia Hariri, in a welcome speech, expressed her “deep gratitude and appreciation for HH Sheikha Moza’s visit to the foundation and for her efficient role in developing an advanced and comprehensive educational system with a focus on education and research”.

She expressed her desire to strengthen co-operation between Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development (QF) and HF to promote development of the Arab community.

Bahia Hariri presented the honorary Shield of Taif Conference to Her Highness “in recognition of her leadership role in educational and scientific development”.

The meeting was attended by the United Nations undersecretary-general and executive secretary of the Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA) Baad Omar Aldafa, a number of UN representatives and senior officials from the Hariri Foundation.
