HH Sheikha Moza arrives in South Korea

Seoul, South Korea, 16 May 2015

Her Highness Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, Chairperson of Education Above All (EAA), arrives in South Korea for a four day visit to advocate for universal primary education. During the visit, Her Highness will speak at the 6th Asian Leadership Conference and the World Education Forum 2015 to help shape the UN’s post-2015 development agenda.

Her Highness will call upon governments to focus resources, expertise and political will to achieve quality primary education for the 58 million out of school children, during the World Education Forum 2015. Her Highness will also stress the importance of fulfilling aid commitments for education. Representatives from 195 UNESCO member states, UN agencies, NGOs and civil society actors will gather at the forum, which will be critical to guiding the world’s future education agenda.

In a keynote speech at the 6th Asian Leadership Conference in Seoul, Her Highness will urge global senior business executives, political leaders and scholars to partner and close the funding gap for quality primary education and to highlight the pragmatic approach that Educate A Child, a global programme of EAA, employs in order to reach the world’s most marginalised children.
