HH Sheikha Moza participates at inaugural Fashion Trust Arabia awards

Her Highness Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, Honorary Chair of Fashion Trust Arabia (FTA), attended the Fashion Trust Arabia inaugural award ceremony and dinner at Doha Fire Station this evening. 

In attendance at the celebratory event were Her Excellency Sheikha Al-Mayassa bint Hamad Al-Thani, Co-Chair of FTA, and Tania Fares, Founder of Fashion Trust in the UK.

Her Highness awarded one of the five prizes of the night to Krikor Jabotian for the Eveningwear category. Other winners, who will received financial rewards and mentorship opportunities, included Sabry Marouf for the Handbags category, Zyne for Shoes, Mukhi Sisters for Jewelry, with Salim Azzam and Roni Helou tying for Ready-to-Wear.

Fashion Trust Arabia is a non-profit initiative aimed at finding, funding and supporting design talents from the Arab world, giving them a platform and opportunity to build their brands and achieve their full potential on a global level.

A jury of fashion industry leaders from across the world gathered in Doha to select the five winners out of 25 finalists who showcased their designs at Bin Jalmood House in Msheireb Museums.

FTA judges include Olivier Rousteing, Pierpaolo Piccioli, Victoria Beckham, Zuhair Murad, Alexander Wang, Sara Sozzani Maino, Haider Ackermann and Natalia Vodianova, among others.
