HH Sheikha Moza inaugurates 8th WISE conference

Her Highness Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, Chairperson of Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development, inaugurated today the eighth World Innovation Summit for Education (WISE) 2017. This year's global conference falls under the theme of "Co-Exist, Co-Create: Learning to Live and Work Together."

The opening session was attended by HE Mrs. Emine Erdogan, First Lady of Turkey, and over 2,000 people from more than 100 countries around the world.

Her Highness addressed the attendees in a speech that tackled the most pressing issues and challenges facing education today.

In addition, Her Highness awarded the 2017 WISE Prize for Education to Dr. Patrick Awuah, founder and president of Ashesi University in Ghana, for his massive effort to further education in his country.
